The Glasgow Distillery Company has a long and eventful history. Founded in 1770, it was one of the first licensed distilleries in Scotland and significantly shaped the development of Scotch whisky. After a chequered past with ups and downs, the distillery reopened in 2014 and has since been building on its rich tradition.

The 1770 Glasgow The Original Single Malt Whisky embodies the authentic character of the distillery and impresses with its complexity and finesse. It matures in First Fill Ex-Bourbon Casks and receives its finish in  Virgin Oak Casks.

Tasting Notes:

Aroma: Upon opening the bottle, a seductive bouquet of ripe fruits, especially apple and pear, unfolds, paired with a hint of vanilla and honey. The subtle notes of oak and roasted nuts give the aroma a pleasant depth.

Taste: On the palate, the 1770 Glasgow The Original Single Malt Whisky presents itself as soft and smooth. The fruity notes of apples and pears harmonize perfectly with the taste of sweet vanilla and caramelized sugar. A hint of spices, especially cinnamon and nutmeg, gives the whisky a pleasant warmth and complexity.
