The result was a fruity and sweet Japanese blended whisky.\n\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\nWhat's unusual about this blend is that it's neither colored nor chill-filtered!\n\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\nThe Chugoku Jozo Distillery was founded in 1918 and, in addition to Togouchi whisky, also produces sake, shochu, hon-mirin, and liqueur. The distillery's whisky production began in 1990. Chugoku Jozo does not mature its whiskies in traditional warehouses, but in a tunnel-like adit in the heart of the Nishi Chugoku Sanchi mountain region. This adit was built in the 1970s, is 361 meters long, and was originally intended as a new railway line.
